A total fitness program includes cardiovascular and resistance training along with nutritional guidance. All of these components must be in effect to see real results.
After a nutrition evaluation is performed, we will test your resting metabolic rate to determine your caloric requirements and show what ratio of fat to carbohydrates you are burning at rest and during your activities of daily living.
After this information is gathered, you will sit down with your trainer and go over important aspects of nutrition including caloric requirements, macro-nutrient requirements (fats, carbohydrates, protein), portion sizes, eating habits, etc. Along with the consultation, the trainer will also review resistance and cardiovascular training zones and intensity changes that you will need to make for all of the components of fitness to work efficiently. |
