As a new client you will undergo an initial fitness evaluation to provide baseline data for the five elements of fitness. These include cardiovascular capacity, body composition, muscular strength, muscular endurance and flexibility.

A qualified certified professional will review your health and injury history prior to your assessment. This information will be compared to the latest risk factor statistics as set by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).

Various methods of palpation and auscultation are utilized to assess resting blood pressure, resting and exercising heart rate, etc.  Body composition is measured through several means, including circumference measurements and less invasive skin fold analysis, in addition to many other anthropometric measurements.

Cardiovascular capacity will be assessed using a treadmill, stationary bike or other familiar equipment.  Muscular strength is measured via dynamometers; a much safer way to assess new untrained individuals, as well as regular exercisers.  Over all, this assessment gives your trainer a fitness snapshot of your beginning and progressive performance.

Through specifically designed structured workouts, clients will be able to improve all or specific aspects of their fitness and performance in order to reach their goals. The evaluation process gives solid, objective information as to the efficacy of the program and helps measure progress objectively.
