Personal Philosophy On Fitness, Health and Wellness

When a person is in great shape, he becomes more confident, has more energy to accomplish goals, and will become more successful. The secret is not necessarily training harder, but training smarter. Never quit!!!

Professional Experience

Joe began his fitness career in 1980, when he founded the first Nautilus health club in Stamford. He attended many training seminars at the Nautilus headquarters in Deland, Florida. At that time the seminars were held by Arthur Jones and Dr. Elington Darden. Their instruction of proper exercise technique on their equipment, supported by their revolutionary theories of exercise physiology proved to be an invaluable learning experience.

In 1984, Joe expanded his business horizons and founded The Fitness Connection, the premier fitness center in Stamford, Connecticut. He had a staff of twenty including an exercise physiologist (unheard of in 1984). He trained his staff well, built a successful business, and in 1988, with a little less then one thousand members sold it.

Joe then earned a Master of Arts in Education and began to teach in the Stamford Public School System. However, he never abandoned his desire to stay in the fitness industry. He was a Martial Arts instructor at the Connecticut Academy of Connecticut 1993-1995. He was also a personal trainer at Peak Physique in Greenwich.1996-1998.

Presently Joe is a personal trainer at K.T. Health and Fitness. He has been employed here for over ten years.
